Denise Kiser Shaw Art

I'm am working from my home studio in the beautiful beach town of Santa Cruz, CA. A small town known for it’s artist communities. I have been selling my artwork to Bay Area locals since High School. In 1990 I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz and had a fulfilling teaching career. I now create colorful collage style paintings that represent the engaging stories I observe in nature.

I have always loved to make things. Making messes is especially fun. Be it in the art studio, sewing room, kitchen, and across the entire house and yard, I am at home in the chaos of creation.  My home studio in the garage is currently making an oil painting of a sunflower for my sister on the north side, and sewing projects on the south side. My bedroom studio is a new creation waiting to be fully embraced and organized after recently making an acrylic painting for my other sister. Yeah sisters!!
